Concept

Nestled on the picturesque Kiawah Island, this South Carolina springtime wedding took place amidst a breathtaking river setting that inspired the atmosphere of the day. The design drew inspiration from the island's stunning flora and fauna, with a focus on incorporating natural, organic elements.

As the couple had a special connection to the restaurant scene of Brooklyn, we incorporated a touch of the city's sophistication into the design with a screen printed oak wood board inspired by the receipt clipboards of their favorite restaurants for their welcome bag details.

At the reception, a chic bicycle bar cart offered signature cocktails, for which we crafted an adorable cocktail menu featuring Samantha Meyer's blue heron illustration engraved into oak wood and mounted onto printed acrylic. This same heron illustration was also screen printed onto oak that was used to embellish the back of the couple's double-thick cotton letterpressed invitation, adding a touch of whimsy and personality to the overall design.
